Big one!
E-mailed forum replies have a URL link to the new post/thread which the user is supposed to go to, but the links just take you to the home page. Presumably this is just a DNS issue, and once the server move takes full effect, then it'll translate properly, but I'm pretty sure it could've been configured so that the attached URL would be translated along with the redirector.
Anyway...

The links in the upper right hand corner are not the same style links as they used to be in the old board (they're just regular plain links right now).

I semi-lost mod privaledges (or something like that) with the Techie forum...not that it's a big deal, but it'd be nice to be able to keep track of it again.

This is actually Nick Hoover, 720 Studios systems engineer.
Currently, some problems are involved with DNS issues obviously, which there isn't much I can do about - considering that Dave doesn't have internet access.
As far as you losing mod privledges, that's REALLY weird... I'll take a look at that.
Most links should have temporarily been switched over to the IP address of the new box.
If you could list out exact locations, that would be appreciated.
Keep sending them in, the more you can find the better!

none that I know of....
Only one thing, it refused to redirect me a couple of times in the beginning, you know, when the message for redirection comes up. I think it could be a local problem here, but decided to give my input just in case, btw, sorry that I've not been that regular with the news posts but for the fact that there's very little news worth a mention as well as our sticking with total tech topics most of the time . Hope to speak to you soon Dave, also, I'm free for a couple days, in case you need to have the rest of the artwork and logos for the site completed, mail me the basic thing and I'll send em back completed.... Tom, you are wanted by John (kipper) it seems he left a couple offlines on the yahoo messenger regarding something. Could you please contact him at the earliest? And, Rob, you dummy, where the bloody hell are ya?

Aamir - That's probably going to HAVE to be something to do with your local side. Did you try clicking the link? It's a simple redirect to the new server farm's IP address.
Tell me if you experience that again, I'll look at it more in depth.
I've attempted to strip the boards of any mention of the old DNS address and replaced it temporarily with the IP Address. Let me know if you continue to experience that.

Maybe you're switching SL so that the domain name points directly to the new server, but when I go to www.systemlogic.net , it brings up a faulty page...
(I had to go to kramer.720.....)

The file you requested (/) does not exist on this server. Please look for the page you wanted at the front page.

Paul -
That was a temporary bug. I wrote a new script that will actually take any path you give it, ie systemlogic.net/boards/blahblah?blahblah and will automatically take that info, and redirect you to the new IP before DNS is switched over, give it a spin
Nick

Poll
Okay, I just checked the guru's article and clicked the thumbs up in the poll as a test, it sent me to another page and told me
"The action you have attempted could not be performed as your session appears to be invalid. Click the below link to attempt this action again with a new session. "
Well, clicking on that link brought me to the vote page alright. Is this related to the shifting too? Btw, why's it showing me kramer.720studios.net in the address bar if you've put in the IP instead? hmm, ....... again the same thing, I needed to click twice to get to the home page (here in India) does the same thing happen there too? didn't give me an auto redirect.

Hehehe, did Dave not have you sign up as a new user and just give you any privleges you'd need for the forums, or was that just a mix-up of you typing Nick? ;-)

Aamir - it should be fixed in its entirety now.
As far as the session being invalid, I'm not sure.
*some* are replaced with the IP, *some* are replaced with a temporary DNS entry, kramer.720studios.net (720 is the Colocation provider)
