Hmmm why would I like this position?
I like technology news. (I check at least 7 sites several times a day )
I could use some experience.
I like the site. No really. I do.
And its something to do between classes.
I also have a question: what kind of news are you looking for?
Anyways, there's my two cents.

We are talking about tech news. We have an e-mail address where we recieve about 20 or more submissions a day that need to get posted. Not only does that need to get posted but news editors should also post "real tech-news", you can find stuff like that on sites like ZDNet or The Register, etc. I'm sure you can find interesting stuff throughout the sites you look at a day :-)
Is anybody else interested in the position?

Hi Dave,
I have only recently become a visitor to your site, but I've found I enjoy your writing style and the environment in general.
Your newsie position is definetly interetsting to me. I have always been interested in technology and computing. I am a college student, so I will have lots of time to do updates, etc. Now I know the standard of a college person is that of a totally unreliable person, but I have run my website at http://www.desert-storm.com since 1997, so I guess you could say I can take care of things.
Please send me some more information about the position. I would love the hear more about it.
Yours,
Scott O'Hara

Hey Paul,
I'm over at Saint Johns University in NYC. Dont get your hopes up. Most of my friends have tons of work and tests and all that good stuff. It just seems I always get the professors that I can learn from just by listening and reading a little. And ones that dont give much homework.

EDIT: And a Smashing Pumpkins fan! I see the SP Heart

I guess you could say I'm a pumpkin fan. I think I have just about every song they've ever released, and a really good chunk of those that they haven't. I take it you're a fan too?

Cool,
I am definetly a fan as well. I have all the released stuff as well as a bunch of rare/unrealeased stuff. Last time I saw them was in April of 1999 in a NYC club show.
Dave,
How's the newsie search going?

I tried the news poster bit for a while ... it wasn't my thing at all. I'm more likely to be found on a site's forum than checking out the frontpage (sorry Dave )
I guess the fact that I don't plan on upgrading much right now, and that the upgrades I want to do need no major research doesn't help.
I wish you all luck, and hope that'll you'll enjoy that job

Well I just can't argue against the Troutster. Although I've got the same reasons he does for having the time I just can't argue against experience. I say let him have it. The only edge I have over him is that I work at my school's computer lab and so its real easy to update while working .

It seems to me then, that you have your two men. Unless of course you're looking for two girls, and then you're out of luck.

Hi,
I am a newbee to your site, may be joined 3 days back. But I am not lagging behind in putting up new posts (you would have had a look at them).
I am extremely tech savy guy! I keep intrests in almost all fields regarding computers be it games, systems programming, Computer Assembling, OS, Hardware, Apps etc... etc....
I feel I can be a valuable one for Systemlogic.net
As a student I am more prone to technology than anyone else.
