Hehe, actually, I think (Dave might correct me on this), but you may also get SL points if you bring someone in, and they sign up using a link you provide. As far as I know, the points don't actually mean anything other than how much you're helping the site grow!

The more posts you have, the more you're helping the forums grow. I believe the way the referals work is that whenever you get someone to join the forums, you get some credit for that too. That way, your SLPoints can (and hopefully will be) greater than the number of posts you have.

As of right now, SLPoints doesn't include that, but it probably will in the future. Also, for referring, you HAVE to use that code with your ID in it.....also, if you "e-mail a friend" a post, it automatically put your referral ID in the code.
