Too many forums ?

Maybe it's just me, but I feel there's too many forums here. I could understand if the traffic you got was considerably bigger, but as it is, the need for all those forums isn't really justified IMHO.

Although it is good to be ready for future changes, I think having less forums would make the forum seem more active, and thus attract more people and tempt them to stay.

It's just a suggestion though, dunno what others think of it. I just know that having to scroll the page isn't the best thing to do if you want people to read it all. And many still run low resolutions, or refuse to maximise their IE, like me

My whole point is that it needs to look active to attract more people and convince them to stay, it doesn't have to actually be active at first.

It's all in the appearances, as it is usually.

And forcing activity wouldn't turn out as good as actually having volunteer activity. IE : having someone post a lot would not really boost the forums activity, though I tried

well, Kel, I know I speak for everyone at the site when I say you're contributions a DEFINATELY appreciated in the forums

Gimme a couple weeks and I'll be posting a LOT more in here, returning to my old school state of spammer

As for forum activity, we hope to get that back up to par over the next month or two, while SL gets back into the swing of things. I personally can speak of a lot of cool content going up in 2 weeks

If you're at all interested in tricking out your computer pay attention, I'll be all over that soon enough!

as for the number of forums... I agree. If we lost a few short term, will; we got busier, and THEN added them back, it'd prolly help appearances.

I agree as well to a certain extent...

We are working on a new idea which we believe will increase forum activity by A LOT. I want to put this idea into affect before merging any forums.

The idea will become live by next week, possibly by as early as even tomorrow!
