Biostar announces M7VIF: First board to use VIA KT333 Chipset
Biostar has announced that they are the first ones in the industry to release a VIA KT333 based Athlon motherboard utilizing PC2700 DDR RAM and ATA133. Essentially, this is the board that should rival the ALi Magik 1 chipset boards (like the Iwill we just reviewed) already on the market.
Needless to say, the little bird has already been dropped on Biostar to get a review "sample".
First I need to finish the PC2700 compatible Biostar P4 board, but I look forward to this specimen as well...
Here's the press of the new M7VIF release in all of it's Engrish glory:
BIOSTAR MICROTECH INT'L CORP. announces that M7VIF KT333/8233A SocketA mainboard is ready for delivery.
Based on excellent cooperation among partners' and internal resources, we are proud that BIOSTAR M7VIF got the champion in this DDR333 race. M7VIF, ATX board, adopts VIA KT333/8233A chipset to supply DDR333 & ATA133 functions for AMD SocketA processors. M7VIF also provides unique DDR voltage jumper function. Undoubtedly, the performance is not only better than the original ones but also much more stable. In addition, the optional USB2.0 specification is suitable for advanced usage. Of course, BIOSTAR's proprietary FLASHER and 9th Touch technologies/benefits are also included.
M7VIF is the first and only one mass-production KT333 mainboard all over the world at this moment.
