Handspring Treo Communicator Now Shipping In The US
The much anticipated Treo Communicator from Handspring has officially started shipping in the US. The Treo combines a mobile phone, wireless applications like e-mail, messaging and internet browsing, and a Palm OS organizer in one device.
There are two versions available, the Treo 180 and the Treo 180g. The difference between the two? The 180 has a built-in QWERTY keyboard while the 180g has graffiti handwriting software. Both models are available for $399 when purchased with a GSM service plan from Cingular Wireless or VoiceStream. If you want to purchase the Treo without a service plan, it will set you back $549.
A little information about the treo: Measures 4.3 x 2.7 x 0.7 and weighs 5.2 ounces. Has a flip-open design which allows a large screen. It has a rechargeable battery, a rocker switch, and a speakerphone. It has the capability to take advantage of GPRS.
