Realm Interactive has started the beta signup for their first game, an MMORPG by the name of Trade Wars: Dark Millennium. It's based on the classic BBS game, Trade Wars 2002.

Go to the official site to signup. There are some pretty stiff system requirements, including a 450 MHz processor, GeForce-level video card, and 128 MB of RAM. You also must be at least 18 years of age, so I know that prohibits some of you Note that if you don't regularly submit detailed bug reports, you will be removed from the beta. Don't signup unless you're planning to actively help out the development team.

While there, you can check out some wallpapers, info on the races from the game, screenshots, and concept art.

Trade Wars 2002 rocks. I'm playing it right now with about 10 active players (all the rest were killed) and its basically my corporation vs another. Gettin' close to the end and thing are getting tense.

I signed up for the beta testing of TWDM. I'd like to see what its like and if it can even compare to the gameplay you can get out of a text based game.
