The original Warlords Battlecry received a warm reception from the real-time strategy community when it was released in 2000. The word is in that the sequel, Warlords Battlecry II, has gone gold and is expected to ship on March 12th.

To accompany this announcement, Ubi Soft is slashing the price of the original Warlords Battlecry to just $9.99, hoping that while you're at the store to grab the second rendition, you'll throw the first in the cart as well.

Being very similar in gameplay to the upcoming Warcraft III, Warlords Battlecry II has the player manage a hero in order to obtain new skills and spells, and ultimately level-up. 12 races, 20 classes of heroes, and 100 abilities and spells will be featured in the game.
