Scott Wainner, founder of ResellerRatings.com and President of All Enthusiast, Inc., announced today that he has purchased ResellerRatings.com from its previous owner, internet.com.

My buddy Mark Stubblefield whom works with Scott let me know about his re-acquisition of ResellerRatings.com for an untold amount. Yesterday they re-launched the site with a brand new look and a new database to go along with it.

While talking with Mark, he stated that they had sent out over 50,000 e-mails announcing the site with over 20,000 press releases going out today. They have seen a jump from 6,000 to 25,000 registered users in less then 24 hours and expect many more in the upcoming days.

Scott Wainner comments, “ResellerRatings.com, with its 50,000 registered users and 40,000 user reviews of over 2,300 online retailers, offers an enormous value to online shoppers by helping buyers identify the best and the worst retailers through the eyes of actual customers. The site is being re-launched with a totally redesigned database driven back-end to maximize performance and reliability. It is important that both shoppers and merchants are treated fairly, that merchants have the ability to post responses to customer feedback, and that customers have an impartial user-driven resource on which they can rely.”

Scott and Mark also gave preview to a price search database where Mark commented "PriceWatch better watch out", for now you can use our SLPrices database for finding the lowest prices.

I've gotten the email three times now . I'm not suprised how quickly this happened. Actually, I'm suprised this didn't happen faster.

What I really wonder is if AnandTech paid Internet.com to cease the "resellerratings" page, so that they could have the dominant "resellerratings" page, as they recently (feb 25th) instituted their own page for this. I mean, resellerratings.com went down, and Anands went up with auspicious timing....

Either way, I don't think AnandTech will beat ResellerRatings, at least not in my opinion

Just a little update, they are now up to 54,500+ registered users.
