Soundbug Turns Flat Surfaces Into Speakers
The desks are alive with the sound of music at the CeBIT show in Hannover, as Olympia launches a cheap device that will turn any flat surface into the biggest speaker on the block.
I found an article of a new product from Olympia called the soundbug. The soundbug is a device that can turn any flat surface into a soundboard.
I don't have much time to finish up this news story so I'll let you read the article yourself.
Give it a read and reply with what you think about it. My personal opinion, looks awesome, great idea, and it's not that expensive! Just bring it to the US.

If it sounds nearly as good as a big speaker, I want 50 of them. Hell, everybody in the world will want them.

Ok, looks awesome, but the article says it can create up to 400 pounds pressure. WHat if some kid sticks it to his chest and turns the volume on high? Or his head? I wonder...

Wow, that would mean that you'd have to be pretty careful about what you stick this thing to. I know lots of tables that I have that would probably split under 400 pounds of pressure. Especially in a centralized location like that.

This is a great idea and could possibly be developed as an alternative to sound field systems being used in classrooms or movie theatres for people with hearing dissabilities.
