Looking For SLNews Reporters
We are looking for 1-3 volunteer news reporters here at SL. Read on to find out more about what is involved.
You heard right, we are looking for 1-3 staff members to report news on multi-daily basis. The position is volunteer, so basically you have to love this stuff in order to even be considered, otherwise why would you want to do it anyway right
We are looking for these things in people:
- You've gotta love the computing and technology community and have been an active part of it for a long time
- You should be the type of person that browses and reads computing and tech news on a daily basis
- You have to have good english and writing skills
- You must be willing to write and cover news reports/articles multiple times a day on a daily basis.
If you think that you would be interested in being an SLNews Report and being an active part of the community, feel free to either reply to this post or e-mail me.
Just a quick note, the format of a news report will be something along the line of an article how we have been reporting news lately. A news coverage will require some own comments and opinions.

Interesting.....
I am rather interested, but I fear I would not be able to meet the requirement of multiple posts over the course of the day!
My current FT job rarely affords me time in the "middle" of the work day to take time out and write
If I could contribute say at the beginning and ending of each day, that would work I think
Expect and e-mail shortly Dave......

Today will begin the process of narrowing down and choosing SLNews Reporters, so if you are interested in the position make sure to do something about it by today.

I dont get it
why work for free while the company makes money from ads
sounds like a fulltime job.

The money from the ads goes towards keeping the site going, such as paying for hosting. I've been a writer for four months now, and I haven't received a dime, but I'm still having a great time. None of the other writers get paid either... we do it because this is what we love to do.

Aside from doing what you love to do, as an reviewer for the site you get to usually keep what you review....also, as Aaron stated, we don't make much more then the money that it costs to keep the site running if that some months. Doing something like this allows you to be part of the community and really get heard by thousands of people on a daily basis.
