Linux Doom 3 and Catalyst 64 bit performance
AMDZone takes a look at Doom 3 on Linux, using its Windows XP performance as the reference. They also look at the second release of the 64 bit Catalyst drivers and what improvements it brings over the previous release.
"On October seventh ATI released their Windows XP 64 bit catalyst beta 2 drivers. In this article I plan to find out what kind of performance increase we are looking at if any with the new beta 2 drivers. Beta 2 drivers support the Radeon line of video cards on AMD64 systems."
