Hey Johnny,
Looking to build a new system, and I'm loving the FlexForce cables on the X-Finity. Considering the great review you gave the 500W model, I assume you'd recommend it? You mention it's quiet; would you say that it's quiet enough for a HTPC setup?
Thanks
Edit: One more thing. Is the 500W model even for sale? The only one I can find is the 80mm non-FlexForce model.

Absolutely. I actually went ahead and took the 500W review unit and put it in my main PC: An Asus A8N. The Northbridge fan became the loudest part in the machine. I had to replace it with a Zalman sink.

Can't think of a beter recomendation that, if jonnyguru is using it after his comments on the other power supplies its got to be good.

It offered the best of many worlds. It's quiet. Stays cool. Is VERY efficienct (only the Seasonic was more efficient.) Has plenty of power. Looks good. It's not the best in any one category, but what power supply is excellent in all?

Kick ass. Now, I have to find a place to buy it . I actually saw a ad on the back of Maximum PC today that was a "preview" for X-Connect's new PSU. Is this the new one? There were no pictures on the ad, just a coming soon, and their logo.

No. The one I reviewed was the X-Finity. The ad was for the X2 (the new X-Connect) which I haven't seen yet, but according to the ad it's going to be modular AND have the FlexForce cables.

Compared to Seasonic S12?
I was wondering about the noise level.
You mentioned it was quiet and that the fan didn't spin up much - was it quiet to the level of the seasonic series in your estimation?
In addition, as the prior poster asked, where can you buy it currently? I would be very interested for a new build, depending on price and such.

It's quieter than even my Seasonic S12.
Where can you get it? VoyeurMods is the only place advertising it right now.

upgrading
I've been loking at the ultra PSU's and I like the look of them. Any idea when (or if) your goign to get a chance to review the X2. I'm interested in how well it would handle a SLI board and set up becasue thats what I'm looking at upgrading to. A8N SLI with 7800 GTX to be specific.
I like the idea of modular but stability of the connectors and the ability to supply the power I'm going to need is an obvious concern. the flex force cable seem pretty sweet also
