    No.

Nor will I purchase a system using it. Nor will I get it super cheap from the university (MS + University == bed).

    In a word...

    No.

But, XP is soo great! The options are nice, a new cool looking GUI! It's soo pretty! The only thing holding back on options is the monopoly! But hey, now I can only use what ever programs they want me to use! Since they've blocked several. And, I can now call them up to get it activated! Isn't that great?! Hell, if I want it on my future son/daughter's computer, all I have to do is shell out some more money to them! XP all the way!!

Oh god, someone give me a gun now!

    actually

none of the above. I might get it, I'm not 100% sure to be honest. It looks promising, and I like that, I may get it, we'll see.

Hmm.. I'm not really sure on this one. I've heard some pretty happy people using the beta.. I guess I'll have to see a running copy, and be damned impressed with it before i'm bought...

I won't touch that bloated piece of spyware hacker target software if it's the last great OS on earth.

I would not pay over $10, but I will get it super cheap from the university because it is supposed to have new drivers for the aureal sq2500. Of course I will first get the crack.

That's easy. I would when Linux would run DirectX games as well as Windows. Loki was porting over some games and from what I understand was doing a great job but these were always about 6 months behind the Windows release and I'm the type to buy games the day they arrive on the shelf.

If LucasArts released Star Wars Galaxies for Linux the same day they release it for Windows; I would jump ship in a heartbeat. Until then, it's back to Windows 98 (Original edition).

    Thumbs up

I am running XP RC2, and it freakin rocks. So far it has been rock solid and stable, with a grand total of 1 needed reboot after 1 month. An that is with all the crap I put my box through, tinkering tweaking and generally just screwing around with anything I can find. I hate the price like alot of you, but if you want the latest and greatest, this is it. For my money, it will be worth it for the new features and stability. The interface is also nothing to snear at. I also will not hesitate to recommend it to my relatives and friends (home version) who are buying new computers, for the simple reason that the next time they call me with a computer question, I can use remote assistance to fix it for them. As for the monopoly issue, I don't particularly care who they put out of business. No company has gained that kind of loyalty from me yet. Besides, the functions that MS includes that I dont like (Ie the burn software or firewall) I just replace or use my own (Nero, ZA). Besides, I am sick of all the BSODs and Fatal Exceptions and other crap from the 9x line. It's high time they buried that crap line in the computer graveyard. -pvtjoker26@hotmail.com
