Default Free OS's besides Linux and BeOS

    Hey,
I've been looking for some non-windows operating systems that are free. I've tried out different distributions of Linux, and BeOS, but is there anything else?

    Anything will be greatly appreciated!

There are free versions of QNX, and x86 Solaris (sun operating system).

    Hi,

if you like another desktop OS, look at FreeBSD
    http://www.freebsd.org/

For highly secure servers, try OpenBSD
    http://www.openbsd.org/

Basically all *BSD OS are UNIX style. I prefer using a BSD-OS because documentation is much better compared to any Linux distribution (free available FreeBSD-book .pdf). There is one team developing FreeBSD and a complete different team developing OpenBSD or NetBSD. This is IMHO a great advantage over Linux, because too many cooks spoil the broth.
