Everytime i'm halfway through the installation, i get an error msg saying that my internet connection has been terminated and telling me to go to the windows 2000 website and find another to get the service pack without connecting to the internet.

Why am i even experiencing this problem?I downloaded the critical updates without any problems

I don't know. Just yesterday, I was able to download both service packs and the hotfix via Windows Update with no problem. Perhaps your internet connection is "timing out" with the ISP because you are not actively surfing. Does your ISP use Dial Up Networking or does it have it's own front end?

I am using a cable modem with unlimited access.It is always on and i can surf for hours without being disconnected. But whenever i have tried to download this service pack,it always disconnects halfway through the installation.

How can i install the service pack without connecting to the internet?
