Without knowing the exact model you have, I was able to find this link from SanDisk directly. You can give it a try and let us know if it works. Otherwise, report back the exact product number of your reader (SDDRxx) and we'll give it another go.

Is there a program that will make my parallel port ImageMate easier to use?
Yes, if you're looking for ease, Connect-iT is the answer. If you need the Parallel Port Diagnostic Utility*, you can download Connect.

*CONNECT.EXE is a program for the Microsoft Windows 95, 98 and NT 4.0 operating systems that enables the following:

    Dynamically connects/disconnects adapters
Configures the devices to different modes of operation
Arbitrates access between the device and the printer
Provides information about the parallel ports
    Installs / removes devices
Dynamically changes drive letter(s) of installed devices
    Upgrades installed drivers
