    Default Folder named Jaime

I was going through my windows 98 Programs folder recently and found a folder name "Jaime". I didn't recognize it so I opened it to find files named

msjaime0.dic (more of theses numbered 0-3)
    msjknl.dll
    msju.dll
    msjaime.dll

the .dic file has code like this

    WX2D 025000 ( A6 y # " P▌ a a o o _ _ x,""_OORf3dRj1s__C( OEhwoYy+ + = O a j j j s " " > > >

I moved the folder to another partition and so far I have not noticed any difference. Can anyone tell me what this folder is for?

    Thank you in advance.

    Daniel

It's probably some spyware/adaware that is infesting your computer.

Try getting Adaware and doing a scan.

    Question

Did you determine if it was a worm (spyware/adware)? I found the same thing on my Win98 SE yesterday.

My mom has that folder on her pc also. I ran Spybot, and it did not pick it up. She also has the following folders installed:

    changje
    koime
    scime
    tcime

When I upgraded her Windows patches, I installed everthing available including all the language patches. I wondered if thats what these folders contain.

    Can anyone confirm this?

I've found all the same folders on my pc as well, and was also wondering if they were spyware.

    Does anyone know for sure?

Its part of Internet Explorer 5.5 Service Pack 1, and related to the Japanese language pack.

Scime - Simplified Chinese language pack
tcime - Traditional Chinese language pack
    Koime Korean language pack
changje - ?? I can't find anything on it. List some files from this folder.

The bit below is from the INF file in the Jaaime.cab folder. Your files are listed there.
