    Question

What's the oldest Microsoft OS you've used? Sorry, Macintosh people...We know how you feel about Windows 95 being System v6...

And I don't mean that you've SEEN a particular Windows. I mean - What's the oldest Windows you've had the opportunity to use on a daily basis?

    Default Slight correction and further...

In case you've seen the first vote, I used to own Windows 2.11 on five 5.25" floppy disks...Man, that Windows really sucked too...the main reason I was using it was because it would actually work on a CGA monitor. Windows 2.11 wasn't much better than DOS Shell...

And above, I mentioned "The earliest Microsoft OS you've used". I really meant Windows...seeing as how DOS and Windows didn't advance at the same time until Windows 95 came out.

I never really used Windows much until 95. I had earlier versions, I didn't like any of them, even 3.11. I much preferred DOS, but when 95 came out it to be much better than the earlier versions.

The oldest Windows i've used was 3.11. But my first PC OS was DOS 3.31. Before that I went all the way back to a C64.

I found Windows 1.0 on the net and downloaded it. MS probably won't care about such an old version . I have yet to try it and it will almost fit on just 1 disk.

Frightening but true I still use Win 3.11 on a daily basis
There are archaic dinosaurs who patently refuse to spend a nickel to save a dime. That is to say I work for a company which provides Win 3.11 and MS Office along with its own proprietary management information software. They are now implementing a long overdue upgrade.

I go back to the Vic20 days, I also used a shell
called PC tools before windows came out, then
migrated into windows all the way up to
    Windows XP beta tester.
I've seen some major changes but the biggest
jump was from 3.11 to win95.
Hopefully, XP will be the next biggest jump for
Microsoft. So far it looks good!
