I was recently using Netscape 6, and my dial-up connection window didn't appear, which isn't unusual, it happens occasionally, but I had left the computer to get a drink. Whan I came back, the activation window was still open, and it had a massage in a pop-up box:
'Connection timed out for activation.netscape.com'
What the hell is activation.netscape.com?
Anyone got any ideas?

Well, you mentioned that the activation window was still up.. so I'm guessing that the reason the servername was actication.netscape.com, was because you were at the activation part of the setup..
