SLCentral Makeover
Thursday January 11th, 2007 12:21AM
Its been a long time coming but I decided it was about time for a spring clean, I've swept out all of the crap I can find, which included all of the stuff that wasn't really that useful on a technology website, updated vbulletin and added a VBSeo package so that the forum shows consistent links everywhere.
I've also re-coded the headers and footers to take out much of the code bloat that we had and re-designed the navigation to appear on the left hand side, as opposed to the tabs at the top.
There's still a lot to do as this site pulls headers and footers from all over the place but I'm getting there.
Please feel free to post your thoughts on the new layout or links to areas of the site that need fixing. Read More
Techzone ECS KA3 MVP Motherboard Review
Tuesday November 7th, 2006 6:41PM
The TechZone has posted a review of the ECS KA3 MVP Motherboard.
ECS has made some amazing strides in the last few years. They've gone from making low cost, low performance motherboards to being an serious contender in the enthusiast market. ECS has a solid performing motherboard with the KA3 MVP. This motherboard has all the feature that most hardware enthusiast would crave. The only downside to the KA3 is something that is common to all ECS motherboards - they're not very good overclockers. The KA3 does improve on the KA1 in the overclocking department, but only slightly. However, at the price KA3 MVP sells for, you are getting a great bang for your performance buck.

GeForce 7800 GTX (G70) Reviews and Previews
Thursday June 23rd, 2005 8:12AM
Get ready for the next benchmark in performance, the GeForce 7800 GTX.HEXUS sums it up best when they say, "All-in, a solid improvement to an excellent architecture. NVIDIA balance ALU increases with ROP considerations to create a formidable pixel pusher that currently has no equal. 7800 GTX boards can be bought from today for a UK retail price of £369. That's only some £70 more than a 6800 Ultra (15%), for a rough 40% increase in performance, should your wallet be up to the task." Reviews and Previews - NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GTX Preview - HEXUS
