    Gigabyte GA-7VM Review
    July 2000

AMD has come a long way in the past 2 years. From Intel completely dominating the processor competition, to AMD coming from behind to be a huge competitor with Intel. I remember times when I would not trust anything but Intel, now I run an Athlon on my personal computer. I must say, it was a surprising turnaround.

The only setback were the motherboards for the Athlon processor, they did not live up to people's expectations, and there were quite a few problems. As time turns, we see less and less problems with the evolution of updated chips from the likes of VIA, and some upcoming chipset makers that we should see anytime now.

One of the manufacturers that is well known for Athlon boards is Gigabyte, who has a history of reliable products. They are also known to be top quality. So today we take a look at the 7VM micro-atx motherboard and see if that reliability is still there.
