Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Very Useful
  • Very solid construction
  • Great price

Cons

  • Spaghetti cables
  • Little complex installation

Conclusion

What can I say? A product this simple isn't a luxury... at $14.95 (http://www.antec-inc.com), it's a necessity. Even I was surprised when I checked out the price at Antec and I ordered a few for my friends since this is one of the products that I would use all the time and that I know they would use. This is a great simple device that actually performs valuable functions, not something for pizzazz or flash. Although the bezel is off color to my silver case, I can tolerate it (or paint it) because as of now, the EasyUSB is my most frequently used computer product. Don't get me wrong; I don't think this product is perfect. First off, the cord they give you to connect to the USB header with: very stringy with 9 different smaller cords that aren't even bunched together. I'd recommend going through every 2 inches or so with hot glue to bunch them up or just tie them together. Trust me, if you have a mid-tower, you do not want colorful, stringy wires all throughout your case. The second and last con is the complexity some might run into if their motherboard isn't properly labeled for the USB headers. Of course, there's always the trial and error method. But needless to say, the EasyUSB's pros far outweigh the cons and more than justify the $14.95 cost of this unit. My total came out to be just over $20 for one and that's including shipping. Pretty good deal for an indispensable utility. When was the last time a "must-have" upgrade was only $20?
